2013 Jamboree Band Seeks Members

The Jamboree Band is now forming and is looking for musicians. The staff band will supply music for ceremonies, events, concerts, arena shows, and will entertain the many thousands of Scouts and visitors to the 18th National Jamboree. Repertoire will include popular and patriotic music, marches, and pep band tunes. Scout/musicians who can double on set, guitar, bass and keyboard are needed for the 16 piece jazz band. Scouts and Venturers ages 16 - 25 may apply. Adults (26 and up) may apply, however initial preference will go to youth staff. Camperships

On our Jamboree activities page for the jamboree you need to set up a separate section so it stands out for Jamboree Camperships with the following information.
The North East Region will provide no more that the $850 BSA Jamboree fee and more commonly only up to $425. If a family has multiple siblings attending the Jamboree, the applications will be considered fairly. The North East Region will ONLY consider applications that are based on REAL need and are complete. Letters of award or rejection will be sent to the family and to the council. PLEASE use the form and be sure it is handled in a secure manner as indicated on the form. Monmouth Council does not see or do we receive any family financial information and region destroys all sensitive information after the application has been considered by a very small number of people.
At this time our Monmouth Council Jamboree Committee is pursing our own possibilities of local fund raising but at this time we have no guarantees as to what success we might have in the future.
